1. Seriously discussed adopting (Aug 2007)
2. Chose Liberia & agency , Addy's Hope (Aug)
3. Started gathering information for the application (Sept)
4. Submitted Adoption Application (Sept 12)
5. Adoption Application Approved by Addy's Hope (Oct 9)
6. Start & complete Home Study(sept 26- Feb 29,08)
7. Mailed in FBI fingerprints
8. Collect documents for dossier (March 10, 08)
9. Dossier complete
10. Send I-600a to our government(Oct 30, 2007)
11. USCIS fingerprints taken(April 22, 2008)
12. Receive FBI fingerprint clearances (
13. Send Home Study to state for approval (Feb 29, o8)
14. Send dossier & home study to orphanage
15. Send Home Study to USCIS
16. I-600a approval, receive 171-H and mail to orphanage
17. Wait for the orphanage to match us
18. Accept Referral(s)
19. Start adoption paperwork process in Liberia
20. File I-600 with our government
21. Receive notification that adoptions are final
22. Apply for passport for our child(ren)
23. Apply for visa(s) for our child(ren)
24. Book plane tickets
25. Bring our child(ren) home
26. Finalize adoption in the states
